Apparently the memo did not reach the Oval or got buried in a pile of Bureaucracy. Sir; you need to get out your checkbook. It seems the First Lady decided to fuel up Air Force Two: Destination Spain.
A holiday on the Gulf Coast would have been so terrible? Yeah, there's the Tarballs; Tarballs can be bothersome...on the upside, I Understand the prices have been Rolled back, and the oil is relatively gone. Besides, I haer the Gulf Shrimp tastes delicious with a special seasoning added this year..if you past the smell, you won't regret ordering the seafood, not for long...
Ah yes, the 1/4 million dollar jaunt to Spain with your daughter...Feel free to take Air Force Two, I may need Air Force One.
You know; I get it; As long as its less than a billion dollars what do I care? The cost is roughly $250,000 which covers transportation and Secret Service protection. Food and entertainment is extra. Just make it out to "We The People"; Leadership by Example. Surely you understand anything short of this drastic measure would be viewed as insensitive not to mention it would send the message you're out of touch or worse, you're entitled. .

Regarding the proposed pay raise you voted for yourself...Yeah, Sorry, can't do it. Once again the American people would like to sight Leadership by Example...Think of it as a character building exercise.
The memo being drafted will contain a "We The People 'Pay-Go' if you will. Without getting into specifics, for the year 2011 you'll receive $1...In 2012 your current salary will be reduced by the underemployment rate.
For example; the $175,000 Salary for rank and file House and Senate members would be reduced by approximately 16%.
Of course that gives the members plenty of time to control your destiny. It is in your hands. All things considered, that's a courtesy, We The People, have done without. Consider it a compassionate gesture which Americans possess; we call it helping one another through tough times.

This shall be a Referendum on the Mid-Term Ballot for your Employer; We The People, to be decided by popular vote. From this point forward it shall be known as the Federal Incentive and Leadership Act.
In addition, those Health care and Retirement benefits are gonna cost a little more. Additionally your Pension Plan suggests your not a servant of the people but rather a member of a fictitious privileged class. Look for the current retirement age of 50 to be slightly bumped up to 62. It sends the wrong message, sorry, its in the best interest of the United States of America.
Not to exclude the Judicial Branch, Supreme Court Jurist, for all intents and purposes, shall be considered a full time position. The argument that since they only convine part-time is invalidated by the fact it is a lifetime appointment.
Unfortunately we the People cannot afford your genius at $213.900 per annum. Once again We the People 'Pay-Go' dictates $1 salary for 2011. Being a part-time gig, your salary for 2012 shall be cut in half. We The People are confident you can survive on this measly pittance, plus it's the Leadership by Example thing, surely you understand.
Additionally jurist will be expected to be responsible for the Dry Cleaning of their Robes, unless it is tainted in the line of duty.
Well now, see that wasn't so difficult! We'll start there & see where 'We The People' land...agreed?...Excellent...
Oh Gentlemen, before I forget...The Twenty million dollar check made out to Pakistan for humanitarian relief...Yeah, that bounced..

OUR GOVERNMENT IN ACTION TODAY 8/10/10 PASSED A $26 BILLION JOBS BILL. President Obama signed the bill and proclaimed the bill will provide money to keep 140,000 teachers on the job and that the bill was deficit neutral, that’s what he said. Another half truth exposed that you will not see in the mainstream media or press.
The WHOLE truth is that only $10 billion was to go to the teachers (for pensions, our money to pay back union pensions shortfalls ). The other $16 billion is going to states to pay for Medicaid programs going broke in California, New Jersey and New York. So where is the money coming from to make it deficit neutral? The do nothing Republicans lost again, not one of their amendments got to the floor.
Some of it will come from taking away tax loopholes in companies doing business out of the country, it will take 10 years to cover this cost. The government will cut food stamps entitlements, won't happen until 2014. The rest will come from taxing corporations. Sounds like voodoo economics for the next generation and future Congress’s to worry about, again.
The American people are being lied to daily by the administration. The second bubble is near if we don’t wake up and be heard, CONGRESS and OBAMA are incompetent and in bed with special interests daily ( unions and wall street ).

Would it shock you to learn this happened while employed by the City of Mesa in 2008? Further, I couldn't find a lawyer to take the case. The legal advice I was given; the City would drag it out till I ran out of funds...
I'm not a Vietnam Vet. I did however, learn a great deal from the Veterans having joined the USAF in August of 1975.
It was one of those situations as a GI when I realized its best to keep my mouth shut & eyes wide open.
It continues to pay dividends to this day. Additionally, I'd like to thank the GI's for their sacrifice. I wasn't in the same league as them. But thanks for acknowledging the value of service to one country...Long live Old School.

SURELY there is more to your story of serving our country. The Vietnam veterans were treated disgracefully by some of the public. Many of those idiots and pot heads are now in our government.
Today if a government or private sector boss forced anyone to perform a dangerous job against their will and got hurt in doing so, the ACLU and lawyers would be there to sue the municipality.
Long time coming for you, my family thanks you and all those veterans for your service to our country. Help the American people stand strong for liberty and freedom.
If I were a bettin' man I'd wager that doesn't surprise you AmRo. The 80% are incompetents, most likely landing the cushie job due to the fact they can't work for the private sector. The private sector, based in Capitalism, well 2/3 realize this very fact. What other conclusion can one draw regarding Gov't workers other than they wouldn't know the right direction if it smacked 'em upside the head! Lest we forget about nepotism...

OK Jon...I'll open myself to public scorn. As a Military Veteran who continued Public service on a Federal level with the D.O.E.; Eventually I worked for local Government. For 7 years I requested a full time position yet was denied. A 30 hour workweek; take home $350/week.
Laid off, but not before I was forced to train my replacement.
Here's the Rub Jon, I was faced with the option of performing a dangerous task or, if I refused, would be cited for insubordination, & thereby fired. I performed the operation, got injured,went to urgent care, and was never heard from again.
I saw this one the other day, 80% of government workers polled said this country is heading in the right direction, 64% of non government workers said this country is headed in the wrong direction!, Time for government to hit the road!

HOW DUMB IS THE PUBLIC when we keep electing politicians that forget that they were sent to Washington to listen to the will of the people. Here's what we are missing.
The average PAY IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR is $50,000+ $9,000 in fringe benefits = $59,000
The average pay in the PUBLIC SECTOR is $70,000+ $40,000 in fringe benefits = $110,000
The private sector unemployment is 9.7%+,the public sector unemployment is 3%. Something is wrong with the equations, can you agree.
Government is growing at a rapid pace, the private sector is going broke.
How can the problems be solved? Maybe it's time that the people demand that government stops spending and starts to cut the pork out of their budgets. Misery loves company is an old saying that the politicians don't understand.
It was reported recently that Congressional Staffers student loans were paid off by the government. We the taxpayers paid $12 million to select staffers. President Obama slipped into the healthcare bill the student loan program giving the government full control of student loans. The private banking sector will lose some 30,000 employees.

A bill nixing Congress' automatic 2011 pay raise was signed into law on Friday by President Barack Obama.
That doesn't mean they won't get the raise...just that its not automatic!
